So, creating a website was both easier and harder than I thought it would be. I thought it would be harder to set up; like, finding a hosting platform and figuring out the files and stuff like that. Turns out, that’s pretty simple. I was worried I’d have to do a bunch of searching and price comparing between a bunch of different platforms and weigh the pros and cons… But then I happened upon a couple of YouTube videos about “the indie web” and was, like, “oh, Neocities… I’ve heard that mentioned before…”

I set up an account that day and boom! It was that easy. I got to work right away.

Then came the hard part… html… still not sure if I completely understand it… But, I’m slowly getting there. It’s just a matter of remembering what to type when and where. Another challenge will be incorporating images and buttons and other elements and figuring out how to do all that. I think this will be a fun, little hobby. Maybe I’ll learn something new from this.
